Manager/Supervisor

A Jack and Bore Foreman oversees and directs the installation of
underground infrastructure, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently,
and within budget, while managing crews and equipment.

Key Responsibilities of a Jack and Bore Foreman:

Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with managers
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Crew Supervision and Management:
Supervise and direct the work of jack and bore crews.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work.
Train and mentor crew members on safety procedures and job techniques.

Safety Management:

Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
Ensure all crew members are properly trained and equipped for safety.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Operate and maintain jack and bore equipment and machinery.
Ensure equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues as needed.

Communication and Documentation:

Maintain clear and accurate records of project progress and activities.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Prepare reports and documentation as required.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve potential problems or issues that may arise during the project.
Develop and implement solutions to ensure project success.

Qualifications

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and on-call shifts.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance with DOT, FRA and OSHA regulations.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding evnironments
Railroad experience is a plus but not required.
CDL is a plus but not required
2+ years of experience with Jack & Bore machine
2+ years of supervisory experience
